Janette Jones-Ball is a painter using acrylic, ink, and water soluble oil.  Based in Columbus Ohio, she studied at The Columbus College of Art & Design, and recently as a member of the Creative Arts of Women. She enjoys collaborating with other artists for local events, and currently is stretching herself as an Artist in creating her next series of works. Her style and processes has expanded with ‘inward assessments and abstract landscapes.’

 

Additionally, she continues to help people heal through her pet portraits. These realistic and colorful pet portraits are painted to capture the detail of emotion and lines of expression; and amplify the language not spoken between the owner and their beloved pet.

 

Ms. Jones-Ball is co-founder of the Super Art League which is a league of super Artists integrating visual Art with performance Art to empower youth in Columbus Ohio through creativity, curiosity, and compassion. She is a former corporate IT Professional and now monitors, manages, and deploys all aspects of information functionality for the SAL.

 

Janette considers her mother to be one of her greatest mentors. Following her around as a child soaking up as much Art as possible, Janette now follows in her mother's footsteps drawing, painting, working with wood, and enjoying all types of Art. She also has a son and daughter of her own that are grown, and have little ones of their own. She loves to be with kids and hopes to reach the local young community to teach growthful insight and fun learning with Art.
